After 38 weeks of wondering if we would have a 2nd daughter or a newborn son, our baby was born August 11th at 5:20pm,  to which my husband announced to me, “it’s a boy!”   He weighed 8 lbs and was 20 1/2 inches tall. He has the same initials as his Daddy. His big sister Maya is thrilled with him and always thought she was going to have a baby brother. He is 3 weeks old today, although in these photos for his newborn shoot, he was 8 and 10 days old.  We had moved August 1st, and 11 short days is not a lot of time to get unpacked, so photo editing sat on the back burner for a week or so.  None-the-less; here he is, Mr. Mason Joseph Tvrdik.

Katie fought the winds and the 90 degree heat for these photos and did a wonderful job! She brought her Mom and sister along which was a great help and fun. She is a senior at the Big Lake High school this year. Thanks Katie for a great session!

This is a fun “Urban Belly Series.” It is mostly a sample for clients to see what possibilities are out there for urban shots, and of course there are many more. These were taken in Minneapolis warehouse district within a 4 block radius. Initially I thought I wanted a pregnant “model” to do these, one who has the nice basketball adorable pregnant belly, though, I thought it would be fun to have done as well. So these are of me, shot by my husband Mike. I hope they inspire the “not-so-perfect” shaped Mom or Mom-to-be to want maternity pics to cherish and look back on when our babies are only looked upon as “our baby” but to the world they are grown up. Taken July 28th (one day after my 29th birthday) at 36 weeks pregnant with a boy or girl, no one knows) ENJOY!

This post is of me, me, me.  Though my husband loves photography as well, thus far, I have shot most of the photo shoots, so I am not on here much. Today is the exception! My husband, Mike took most of these. We used the tripod for the ones of both of us. It starts out with a few intimate shots taken at our home and then photos of me and my soon to be four-year-old daughter, Maya, taken at a couple locations in Elk River. We are expecting our 2nd child, due August 25th, gender-a surprise! (as of when these were taken, the last week of July)

Kristen is quite the planner, she found us last summer and had planned for her senior portraits for this year. She will be attending full time post-secondary college her senior year. Wise choice!  I photographed her at two locations in St. Cloud. It was a little misty when we arrived, but we lucked out and it cleared up!

I met Sara and Jason and their newborn pride, Charlie! They had unique sentimental items that have been passed on through generations to incorporate into the shoot. Their niece, Adrianna was there visiting and was a big help! Thank you for letting come to your home and enjoy your new little lad!

Cole is Courtney, a good friend of ours, son.  He is 2 years, 7 months old and a little flirt. He has his Mommy’s gorgeous eyes and a “hawk” hair style that he just adores!

I thought it to be honorable to photograph a couple who are both serving to protect as police officers in my area of the world. I have an even deeper appreciate for police now that I have been trained police dispatch for my non-artistic job. Plus they have the most adorable 4 1/2 month old German Shepard puppy!

This little boy, Devin turned 4 on April 20th. He is the son of some very good friends of mine. His Mom, I have been friends with for over 20 years! I could not help but snap some of his little sister, Sydney, who is just shy of 20 months old.

I was blessed to be able to spend two sessions with this new baby girl. The first (is below this post) and was family focused and this one is Tori focused! She was a great baby, hardly fussed at all!
